Through the generous support of corporations such as Stryker, the AOFAS is able to provide quality educational programs for our membership, engage the next generation of foot and ankle orthopaedic surgeons, and ultimately improve foot and ankle patient care.
As a Diamond level Mission Partner, Stryker has provided funding for these vital programs this year:
Stryker Medical Fellowship Scholarship
With support from Stryker, AOFAS offers grants to fund the education and training of fellows enrolled in a qualifying AOFAS-affiliated orthopaedic foot and ankle fellowship. The grants fund the specific endeavors of advanced orthopaedic foot and ankle education, scientific inquiry, and humanitarian efforts during the 2021-2022 academic year.
Resident Scholarship Program
Along with support from other corporate funders, the major grant from Stryker provides an incredible opportunity for orthopaedic surgery residents to attend AOFAS Annual Meeting 2021 in Charlotte, North Carolina, where they can explore the specialty and meet leaders in the field. This scholarship covers registration fees, lodging, a travel stipend, and mentor activities.
Foot & Ankle Focus Webinar Series
Stryker and other industry partners provided monetary support to offer the 2021 Foot & Ankle Focus Webinar Series at no charge to AOFAS members and orthopaedic residents and fellows.
The AOFAS and Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Foundation Boards of Directors are grateful to Stryker for their collaboration as a Diamond level Mission Partner. For more information, view the 2020 Annual Report, which details the activities and achievements of the AOFAS and the Foundation from the past year. These initiatives have tremendous potential for the future of our Society and our specialty, and we appreciate Stryker’s continued strong support.
Sincerely,
Bruce E. Cohen, MD
