Founded in 2001, the Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that advances the AOFAS mission by funding and promoting essential education, research, social impact, and humanitarian endeavors. With the help of generous donations from individuals and industry partners, the Foundation has grown into a thriving organization that provides resources to improve patient care and ensure the specialty's future success.

To make a one-time or recurring donation to the Foundation, text GIVEAOFAS to 41444 or click here.

Thanks to the support of our individual and corporate donors — especially our 2024 Diamond/Dynamic Mission Partner Stryker — the Foundation has much to celebrate and a bright future ahead.

What We've Done

  • Contributed more than $2 million to building the future of foot and ankle care through the Research Grants Program. Research grant recipients have used Foundation seed money to earn additional funding from the National Institutes of Health and other sources, publish articles, and present at professional meetings.

  • Developed the Fellowship Scholarship, Resident ScholarshipTraveling FellowshipWomen's Leadership, and other programs that enhance orthopaedic education, foster professional collaboration, and encourage early interest in the specialty.

  • Delivered humanitarian care to more than 3,500 patients in underserved areas of Vietnam, Kenya, the Dominican Republic, and other countries through Overseas Outreach.
