Colorado Orthopaedic Surgeon to Serve Leading Foot and Ankle Society
Rosemont, Ill. (October 28, 2019) – Foot and ankle orthopaedic surgeon, Kenneth J. Hunt, MD, has joined the Board of Directors of the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society® (AOFAS), the leading organization for lower extremity medicine and foot and ankle surgery, as a member-at-large.
"I am honored and excited to serve on the AOFAS Board of Directors," Dr. Hunt said. "I am highly committed to the continued success of our Society and am eager to contribute in this capacity. I look forward to further helping our Society fulfill its vision and mission to improve foot and ankle orthopaedic care and the lives of patients."
Dr. Hunt currently serves as associate professor, chief of foot and ankle surgery, vice chair of quality, patient safety, and outcomes, and director of foot and ankle fellowship at the University of Colorado (CU) School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine and completed his orthopaedic residency at University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics. Following residency, he completed a foot and ankle fellowship at OrthoCarolina and Carolinas Medical Center. He served on the orthopaedic surgery faculty at Stanford University before transitioning to CU in 2015.
Prior to serving on the Board of Directors, Dr. Hunt chaired the AOFAS Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Outcomes Research Network (OFAR) Managerial Board. He also is a reviewer for Foot & Ankle International, the official journal of AOFAS.
