Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, learners should be able to:

  • Compare and contrast approaches for treating routine and complex foot and ankle deformities and conditions

  • Understand and contrast extensile and minimally invasive surgical solutions

  • Describe patient selection and treatment strategies for revision procedures

  • Outline the ways to identify and manage complications

  • Determine and apply strategies to improve patient outcomes


The American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. AOFAS designates the live activity for a maximum of  11.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Creditsand the enduring materials for a maximum of .25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
