The timetable below is for 2025-26 Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Fellowship positions (training beginning August 1, 2025, and ending July 31, 2026).
August 1, 2023
Application period begins. Applications will be accepted on the SF Match website.
Please note that although registration is open until the Match deadline, applicants are encouraged to register as early as possible to allow time for application and interviews.
September 6, 2023
Target date for applicants to complete the requirements for application distribution.
This is NOT a deadline. Some programs may accept applications at any time; others may set a deadline. It is the applicant's responsibility to contact training programs for individual deadlines.
December 2023 through February 2024
Interview period. Programs will interview the applicants they select.
Interviews may be either in-person, hybrid, or virtual. Each program is allowed to determine what is best for their situation. See the Interview Schedule for more information on programs' interview format and dates.
April 9, 2024 (Noon Pacific Time)
Deadline for applicants and programs to submit their rank lists to SF Match
April 16, 2024 (9:00 am Pacific Time)
Match Day - Match results are made available to programs, applicants, and US medical schools through the SF Match system. Login is required to view results.
April 17, 2024
Post-match vacancies listed on SF Match. Any vacancies that remain after the Match will be announced on the Immediate Vacancies page. Vacancy listings are managed by the individual programs.
July/August 2025
Orthopaedic Fellowship training begins.
