This intensive, hands-on skills course covers innovations in foot and ankle surgery to avoid complications and ensure clinical success. With an agenda addressing challenging procedures that often lead to disappointing results, the course will provide you with strategies to improve decision making, determine the best treatment methods for your patients, and achieve successful outcomes. The course includes lectures, panel discussions, case demonstrations, and hands-on cadaveric surgical labs led by renowned faculty.

Hands-on Lab Course

The course features 9.25 hours of didactic and hands-on laboratory time, utilizing the latest equipment and techniques on cadaver specimens.


Please note that course attendees should plan to fly into O'Hare Airport and stay at the Chicago Marriott Suites O'Hare Hotel on Tuesday night. Shuttle transportation will be available between the hotel and the Orthopaedic Learning Center on Wednesday morning, and to the Hyatt Regency Chicago Hotel (location of the Annual Meeting) after the course concludes on Wednesday.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, learners should be able to:

  • Discuss new advances and emerging technologies in orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery

  • Demonstrate surgical techniques for multiple procedures treating conditions ranging from the ankle to the forefoot

  • Assess the potential complications of the presented procedures and confirm how to manage them successfully

Intended Audience

The course is designed for experienced foot and ankle orthopaedic surgeons and general orthopaedic surgeons interested in learning advanced techniques treating foot and ankle pathology.
