  • Clubfoot - One of the most common nonmajor birth defects, Clubfoot affects your child's foot and ankle, twisting the heel and toes inward.

  • A Guide to Children's Shoes - How to shop for, try on and select the best fitting children shoes for your young ones.

  • Intoeing - Sometimes called "pigeon toes," commonly outgrown before 2nd birthday.

  • Outtoeing - When an infant's feet bend inward from middle of the feet to the toes.

Kids' Feet Sure Do Grow
Children's feet grow fast so check their shoes regularly to see if they are getting snug. The younger the child, the faster his feet will grow. Early on, expect to buy a new pair at least every 2 to 3 months. By the time the child is 3 years old, the intervals may stretch to 6 months. One sign that a toddler's shoes may be getting too tight is if he frequently takes them off or if they cause him to trip.
