Foot & Ankle International®

Foot & Ankle International (FAI) is the official journal of the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS). Published monthly, FAI offers peer-reviewed articles focusing on areas of interest such as surgery, wound care, bone healing, pain management, in-office orthotic systems, diabetes, and sports medicine. In circulation since 1980, FAI emphasizes surgical and medical management as well as basic clinical research related to foot and ankle problems. FAI is owned and copyrighted by the AOFAS.

AOFAS membership dues include monthly delivery of the print Foot & Ankle International to your office or home address and free online access to the table of contents, the current issue, and all archive issues.

Members may login to the AOFAS website to access the Members Only page where the link to FAI online appears.

Non-members interested in AOFAS membership may view membership information and application forms by clicking on the Membership tab.

Foot & Ankle Orthopaedics (FAO), is an open access scholarly journal of the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS). This medical journal emphasizes surgical and medical management of foot and ankle disorders with a specific focus on reconstructive, trauma, and sports-related conditions utilizing the latest technological advances. 

FAO offers original peer-reviewed articles including: clinical and basic science research, meta-analyses, systematic and topical reviews, case reviews, hot topics, research designs, and technique tips. This journal is an ideal resource for orthopaedic surgeons, fellows, residents, and allied health providers interested in providing the latest in evidence-based foot and ankle care.
 
 

InStride

InStride is the Society’s quarterly communications vehicle designed to provide AOFAS members and related audiences with the most current Society news and information on topics focusing on education, research, and humanitarian service as well as upcoming opportunities.

Each issue of InStride includes a message from the president on areas of focus for the Board of Directors and highlights upcoming clinical education courses, member involvement in volunteer work, updates on projects, and coding information. InStride also includes reports on how contributions to the Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Foundation (The Foundation) are making an impact.

The official journal of the AOFAS, Foot & Ankle International (FAI)® emphasizes surgical and medical management as well as basic clinical research related to Foot and Ankle problems. The Society's monthly journal publishes the broadest spectrum and highest quality of foot and ankle research in the US and abroad.​

The journal is under the direction of Editor-in-Chief David Thordarson, MD.
