Make a gift to the Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Foundation​ to support the Overseas Outreach Project to Vietnam.

Celebrating 17 Years of Education and Service in Vietnam (2002-2018)

The 2018 Vietnam Project is taking place May 19 through June 15, 2018. The volunteers are: Mario Kuhn Adames, MD, of Florianopolis, Brazil; Nathan Bruck, MD, of Givatayim, Israel; Raman K. Dega, MBBS, of Wexham, United Kingdom; Sandra A. Eisele, MD, MBA, of Cincinnati, Ohio; Jessica A. Faught, MD, MS, of Portland, Maine; Justin M. Kane, MD, of Dallas, Texas; Kathleen A. McHale, MD, of Alexandria, Virginia; and Naomi N. Shields, MD, of Wichita, Kansas.

Since the first project in 2002, AOFAS volunteers have performed surgery on almost 1,400 patients and evaluated more than 3,200 patients in clinics, all at no charge to the patients. A total of 54 AOFAS members from around the world have participated in the project.

The Honor Roll of donors below reflects Campaign 50 outright gifts and multi-year commitments made between January 1, 2014, and December 31, 2017, and donations made to the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation with a designated gift to the Foundation as of December 31, 2017.

Any payments for pre-existing, multi-year pledges made prior to ​Campaign 50 that were not completed by December 31, 2013, are applied as outright gifts to Campaign 50.

The Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Foundation encourages members to give back by volunteering locally and globally. Select humanitarian service opportunities for members are listed below. 

If you would like your organization to be included in this list, please complete an application form​. All applications will be reviewed by the Humanitarian Services Committee before posting to the website. An AOFAS member must be involved in the organization in order for the organization to be eligible.

Health Volunteers Overseas

The Foundation is an organizational partner with Health Volunteers Overseas​ (HVO), a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the availability and quality of healthcare in developing countries around the world. HVO's work through volunteer training and educational programs supports the mission of the Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Foundation to promote education and service in the area of foot and ankle.
